Cote d’Ivoire Peace Refinery – Feasibility & Development Study

Key Facts: Energy Allied worked jointly with Petroci for a private investment bringing investors for proposed development of a grass roots refinery in the port of Abidjan.

Size: 60,000 / 100,000 bls/day refinery

Value:  Estimated Total Investment cost in 2007 was USD 1.2 billion

Brief Facts:  Energy Allied retained Shaw Stone & Webster for feasibility study utilizing a fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCC).  The refinery would have as a feedstock West Africa crudes.  At the time, 14 MM metric tons of various refined products were being imported into West Africa from Europe and the Middle East.

Description: A project Groundbreaking Ceremony was held in 2007 with senior members of the government of Cote d’Ivoire.  However, political events overtook the refinery and it was never able to be constructed.
